I have updated everything on the Mac including the eToken driver used for signing the page but the problem remains.

This error has started occurring since the update to Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 and there was no problem with the earlier version Mac OS X Yosemite. When I try to digitally sign a document on a java enabled corporate website page, the java applet quits giving the error message "Java Applet Quit unexpectedly".
